You'll foster seamless communication within diverse settings, including educational institutions, healthcare facilities, government agencies, and businesses. Upholding the highest professional standards and ethical guidelines, including those set forth by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), will be paramount in your role.

Brief Job Overview:

• Support students' needs as outlined in their IEPs.
  
• Interpret extracurricular activities following school policies and supervisor directives.
  
• Provide interpretation services for all mainstream classes attended by D/HH students.
  
• Direct regular education staff inquiries regarding D/HH students to the designated case manager.
  
• Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as an integral part of the team when required.
  
• Act as a bridge between the D/HH Program and mainstream programs, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration.
  

Requirements

• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
  
• Experience working in a school setting.
  
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL).
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
• PEL endorsed in Educational Sign Language Interpretation.
