SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant provides customer service to DASCO's referral sources and their claimants/patients. This may include activities such as inbound/outbound call handling, verifying insurance coverage, obtaining authorizations, securing and reviewing required documentation, processing orders, completing follow-up and educating referrals and patients on coverage, equipment, and supplies.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time remote position, with normal work days and hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no supervisory role.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates primarily in a home office environment and routinely using standard office equipment.

The employee is typically required to sit; frequently stands, occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
