Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Head Winemaker
Department: Warehouse
Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the operations of the warehouse, including all shipping and receiving. The Warehouse Supervisor has buying responsibilities and makes sure that the needed products are stocked in a timely manner. As a supervisor, the Warehouse Manager schedules and oversees other warehouse workers. This individual will also process invoices and shipping orders, while also maintaining warehouse inventory. The individual is responsible for coordinating with quality control and bottling to ensure incoming packaging is correct for upcoming bottling runs and the correct amount and also responsible for making sure outgoing product is in quality shape when the product leaves the facility.

Specific Responsibilities will include, but are not be limited to the following:
• Oversee receiving, warehousing and distribution operations in addition to warehouse production by preparing work orders in a prioritized and organized manner;
• Ensures warehouse staff are equipped to meet production schedule;
• Responsible in implementing and enforcing new policies in conjunction with Safety Manager;
• Partake in constructing the production schedule with winemaking, bottling, and quality control and approve trucking schedules;
• Supports warehouse staff and assists in loading/unloading shipments;
• Ensures proper materials, supply inventories and warehouse equipment parts are maintained to meet the requirements of the Warehouse;
• Schedules staff to accommodate work load and to meet deadlines;
• Attend managerial/leadership meetings and communicate appropriate information to cellar staff;
• Examine, make corrections, and approve employee time cards and time off requests;
• Coordinating with clients and dispatchers on any changes to shipping/receiving schedules;
• Ensure bottling packaging is correct and the quantity is correct;
• Construct and process shipping BOL paperwork;
• Process receiving paperwork and turn in to concerned parties;
• Have an understanding of trucking laws and weight distribution in trailers to ensure legal loads for destination and any passing states;
• Understand safety laws (L+I/OSHA) and TTB requirements for warehouse
• Able to efficiently and safely operate a forklift and clamp lift;
• Able to effectively train new workers on equipment;
• Communicate with Winery Liaison when necessary.
Summary of Qualifications
Required
• Must be 18 years of age or older;
• High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate;
• Valid Driver’s License;
• Certified forklift operator with a minimum of one year of experience operating a forklift;
• A minimum of three years of experience managing inventory control and warehousing;
• Skilled in basic mathematical functions;
• Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures;
• Proficiency with working on a computer and working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc);
• Must be fluent in English, both verbal and written, in order to effectively and communicate in person and construct professional emails free of grammar errors to staff and clients;
Preferred
• A minimum of two years in a supervisory role;
• Bilingual in English and Spanish;
• Associates Degree in related program;
• Experience working in a bulk wine facility.
