Our client is a growing global technology company with leadership that has a strong history and track record of success. The CFO is looking for their business partner that can handle a multitude of functions within the Accounting and Finance group. Located NW of Boston, we are looking for someone who has their eyes set on eventually becoming a Chief Accounting Officer. This is a terrific role to showcase your componence within complex accounting issues for a global technology company and have a significant impact on the success of the organization.

Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and international accounting standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in international accounting, a CPA certification, and extensive experience in both software and manufacturing industries.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the CFO in with executive reporting including BOD packages, Investor packages, and compliance with global accounting standards
• Lead and manage the accounting department, including financial reporting, auditing, and financial controls

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and international accounting standards.

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures tailored to both software and manufacturing operations.
• Experience with complex accounting issues such as Equity (ASC 323) Leasing (ASC 842) , Manufacturing R&D (ASC 730) and Revenue Recognition (ASC606)

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports.

• Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.

• Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

• Provide strategic financial insights to senior management.

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Lead initiatives to improve financial processes and systems.

• Mentor and develop accounting staff.

What you must have:

• CPA certification required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

• Proven experience leading accounting in global technology - based companies.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP.

• Proven experience in both software and manufacturing industries.

• Excellent leadership and management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in NetSuite preferred
