Title: Ultrasound Technician - Full Time - Day

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Ultrasound Technician to join our growing team. In this rewarding full-time position, you will play a vital role in patient care by performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations. You will use specialized equipment to create images of internal organs and tissues, assisting physicians in diagnosing a wide range of medical conditions. Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients, including abdominal, obstetric, vascular, and other specialty exams as required.
• Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Position patients comfortably and efficiently for optimal image acquisition.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and utilize various scanning techniques to capture clear and detailed images.
• Evaluate image quality and ensure proper documentation of findings.
• Document patient history and examination results in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Maintain a clean and sterile environment throughout the examination.
• May assist with preparing the ultrasound room for each examination.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent credential.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations (preferred).
• Strong understanding of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Proficient in computer skills and electronic documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
