Job Description

Title: Technical Writer IV

Location: Remote (Must be in EST)

Duration: 12 months

Shift Timings: Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm

Overview

  • The main function of a technical writer is to write FDA-regulated computer system validation materials.
  • A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing, and maintaining validation documentation.


Job Responsibilities

  • Organize material and complete writing assignments according to the client's BLS System Life Cycle (SLC) Policies and procedures regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style.
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions in the appropriate locations.
  • Confer with subject matter experts to determine subject material to be developed for compliance to the SLC policies and procedures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or English, journalism, communications.
  • 8-10 years’ experience required.
  • Experience in in creating documentation for a technical audience Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read some programming code.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
