Social Worker- (Sign-On Bonus)-(240000CU )
The University of Maryland School of Medicine Department of Neurolog y is seeking a Part-Time (up to 20 hours a week) Social Worker (SW) to work within the Clinical Center for Adults with Neuro-Developmental Disorders (CCAND) located at the University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopedics Institute (UMROI) and the Department of Neurology, Epilepsy Division located at University of Maryland, Baltimore. The CCAND functions to evaluate and provide comprehensive care to adult individuals with autism, intellectual disability, and epilepsy. The candidate should have some experience working with adults with neurological disorders such as epilepsy and autism. In this position, the SW will function with significant practice autonomy, assisting the physician and CRNP staff with social and financial challenges faced by our patients and families. The SW should have some experience with EPIC electronic medical record software. The SW will interface with the Maryland Epilepsy Center and the Department of Neurology faculty. The SW will participate in bi-weekly patient care and administrative meetings.
This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Half will be paid within the first 30 days of employment and half will be paid upon successful completion of probation. Current UMB employees are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Minimum Qualifications
Education : Master's degree in Social Work.
Certification/Licensure : Licensed Master Social Work (LMSW) in the State of Maryland. Applicants sitting for their licensure exam within a reasonable time (1-2 months) will be considered.
Other : No substitution of experience for minimum education requirement.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of position requirements. Knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively co mmunicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently.
