Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled virtual sign language interpreter to support a Kindergarten student during their online learning sessions. In this role, you will be a key part of creating an inclusive and effective educational experience by facilitating communication between the student and their teacher.

Student's Schedule:

Geometry: 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM
ELA (English Language Arts): 10:30 AM - 11:15 AM
Intervention (Time TBD): Approx. 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM (30-minute session)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide real-time sign language interpretation during scheduled classes and interventions.
Foster a supportive, positive, and engaging learning environment for the student.
Work collaboratively with the student's teacher and support staff to ensure effective communication.
Stay adaptable to the student's evolving needs and any changes in the schedule.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other relevant sign languages.
If located in Oklahoma, SLIs must have an EIPA score of 3.5 or higher and be registered on the Oklahoma Interpreter Registry.
Prior experience working with children, particularly in educational settings, is highly preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage young learners in a virtual setting.
Reliable internet connection and comfort with virtual communication tools.

Compensation:

Competitive hourly wage, based on experience, with weekly pay.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 66,000.00 Per Year
