Outside Sales Representative - Northwest Region
Location: Remote (Northern California, Oregon, Washington)
Travel: 50% within the Northwest Region
About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Outside Sales Representative to join our team, focusing on growing our presence in the Northwest Region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with clients directly, helping them find the best commercial hardened wood solutions. You will be based out of your home office and will spend most of your time (80-90%) working within your local territory, with occasional travel (10-15%) across Northern California, Oregon, and Washington to meet with distributors and explore new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and grow our commercial hardened wood product line by building strong relationships with architectural and design (A&D) firms, end-users, and flooring contractors.
Create and implement business plans to meet and exceed quarterly sales targets.
Proactively identify new business opportunities and strategize ways to acquire key accounts.
Act as a self-starter, setting and achieving personal and team goals.
Collaborate with clients to understand their visions and goals, providing expert advice and solutions.
Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and market dynamics to provide the best service and solutions to clients.
Take initiative in generating leads, setting appointments, and expanding your client base.
Manage existing accounts while actively pursuing business development opportunities.
Demonstrate a strong drive to succeed and take advantage of uncapped earning potential.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3+ years of successful experience in B2B commercial flooring sales.
Established relationships with commercial A&D firms in the market.
A proactive, hunter mentality with the ability to build rapport and establish trusted relationships.
Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and effective negotiation abilities.
Excellent presentation skills with the confidence to engage clients both over the phone and in person.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and basic math skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to take initiative.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic market.
Exceptional professional presence and solid business acumen.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the region.
