The
Project Manager - Orion Solar Array Wing Camera will support the
JETS II contract in
Houston, Texas. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform project management and engineering functions for Orion Solar Array Wing (SAW) Camera upgrade development, including requirements development, hardware development, manufacturing, assembly, and test.
- Manage the engineering team for the specific Camera upgrade development subsystem.
- Provide budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating support.
- Monitor cost performance for their subsystem development against established plans.
- Develop and maintain company and customer financial reports.
- Oversee and develop schedules (MS Project and Smartsheet), procedures, work instructions and process flows.
- Develop risks and risk mitigation plans for rollup into the higher-level risk system.
- Interact frequently with inter-organizational disciplines, NASA System Managers, and operational customers.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Must have 5+ years of recent and related work experience. License and certification may be required.
- Experience managing and leading engineering projects.
- Experience with financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating.
- Ability to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines.
- Knowledge and understanding of MS Project and Smartsheet tools; and generate PowerPoint charts.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, material selection, environmental testing, and office software.
DESIRED: - Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes/Paperwork.
- Experience with NASA processes.
WORK LOCATION: - This position is located onsite.
- This position offers a 9/80 schedule, every other Friday off.
- This position may require some travel.
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED: All Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check, some positions require a clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process.

- Must have a strong work ethic and must be safety culture oriented.
- Must be organized with good time management skills.
- Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time).
- May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
- Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
- Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
