Luminis Health Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency
Join a comprehensive 13.5-month Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency Program to become an expert in the field of orthopedics. Our program allows residents to practice and learn in a hospital-based community health system with exposure to a variety of conditions, with multi-disciplinary teamwork and shadowing. As Luminis Health employees, residents will have access to employee benefits and a competitive resident salary. Both distance and onsite learning will provide specialty level skills for advanced thinking and patient care. Learning opportunities will include cadaver dissections in the Luminis Health SAIL Center, manual skills labs, and physician and surgery shadowing. Residents will also complete a quality outcomes research project to be presented and/or published at the conclusion of the residency program.
Position Objective:
Evaluates patients for physical therapy services and provides therapeutic intervention according to departmental standards. Assesses the appropriateness and effectiveness of services provided to patients and documents according to departmental standards. Participates in all educational components of the Orthopedic Residency program to expand knowledge and professional development to a specialty level, culminating in the ability to sit for the Orthopedic Certified Specialist Examination.
