JOB SUMMARY

The D.C. United Communications and Marketing Department are looking for a talented and enthusiastic undergraduate or graduate student to join us as the Photography Intern for Summer 2023. This Internship will allow you to expand your portfolio, develop professional connections, collaborate with multiple departments, and improve photography and career skills for your professional growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Club Photographer in Matchday shot lists.
• Photograph ticketing, community relation, and partnership events.
• Help in archiving, organizing, and renaming photos.
• Assist in studio shoots.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Eligible to receive college credit for the internship.
• Dedicate a maximum of 25 hours a week to the internship from May 2023 to October 2023.
• A relevant portfolio of photography work.
• Camera bodies and lenses necessary for shooting sports.
• Editing software such as Lightroom.
• Experience in sports is a plus.
• Work may require matchday, weekend, and/or evening work.
• You must provide proof of COVID-19 Vaccination prior to start date.

COMPETENCIES (KSAs)

• Knowledge of basic editing programs such as Lightroom, Photo Mechanic etc.
• Ability to work in fast-paced matchday environments.
• Ability to adhere to a designated shot list.
• Creative eye and passion for photography.
