Job Description
We are excited to invite a highly skilled and innovative Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team as the Medical Director. In this vital role, you will provide psychiatric oversight, support outpatient clinical operations, and contribute to the agency's overall vision and program development. Working in a collaborative community mental health outpatient setting, you will be part of a dedicated team, including licensed therapists, clinical and executive directors, and other prescribing professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychopharmacological evaluations for clients seeking medication services.
Engage in non-face-to-face services, including phone communications with physicians, pharmacies, clients, and/or parents/guardians.
Review, prescribe, and monitor medication for clients, ensuring effective treatment outcomes.
Document all client-related interactions through detailed dictation and record-keeping.
Consult on program development, actively contributing to the creation of new initiatives that enhance mental health services for children and youth in our community. In today's world, innovative treatment delivery methods are essential.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to establish a partnership with a psychiatry fellowship program, supervising fellows on-site to expand access to care for our clients.
Provide case consultation and training to team members as requested.
Foster coordination and collaboration with local primary care providers and pediatricians for comprehensive care.
Participate in the agency's Quality Management processes as needed.
Be available for after-hours phone consultations on an as-needed basis.
Offer expert consultation to clinicians regarding diagnostic assessments and psychopharmacological recommendations.
Prepare and maintain clinical case records and documentation in line with clinic guidelines.
Uphold agency confidentiality and adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics.
Ensure compliance with all billing and client documentation requirements, including prior authorizations as needed.
Maintain up-to-date state and federal licensing requirements and complete continuing education units (CEUs) as required.
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Three to five years of direct experience with juvenile and young adult populations preferred.

Salary Range: $250,000 to $310,000 annually
