Marvin Engineering designs and produces military Alternate Mission Equipment. Marvin Test Solutions designs and manufactures armament Test Equipment. POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Machine Maintenance Technician I primary responsibility is completing minor repairs and ensuring Preventative Maintenance (PM) procedures are completed on various types of industrial equipment. The Technician will also support the creation and documentation of PM procedures.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Minor repair and maintenance on CNC Machinery, Manual Machine and Machining Centers
  • Uses machine tool manuals, technical documents, and vendor resources to research machine preventative maintenance procedures and repairs
  • Complete lubrication and fluid level checks and changes as required.
  • Identify and replace parts as necessary to repair and maintain equipment.
  • Complete all planned and preventative procedures as assigned.
  • Work based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions.
  • Responsible for the completion and accuracy of documentation related to assigned tasks.
  • May be assigned tasks outside the scope of this job description.

 

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Maintain awareness and understanding of documents published in the BMS Library, with specific competency of general as well as related field documents.
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read part manuals and assembly instructions and preventative maintenance guides.
  • Familiar with industrial machinery like Manual Lathes, Mills, CNC Equipment.
  • Familiar with electrical test equipment, electrical, hydraulic and/or mechanical systems.
  • Experienced with the use of general hand and power tools used in the maintenance & repair of machinery.
  • Reading, writing and general math skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to work effectively in a group (Team) environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills must be able to speak/read/write English.
  • Must be willing to have flexible work hours.
