$18-19/hour for a 'Jumper' for seasonal position. With interest to transition Jan. 2025 to driver $20-21/hour .

QIC seeks a "Jumper" Full-Time or Part-Time Seasonal FedEx Pickup & Delivery Jumper/Driver. This position will help one of our veteran drivers, specifically during our Peak Season in November, December, January.

Our veteran driver will drive. The jumper will 'jump' out of the truck at each stop, make the delivery, and 'jump' back in for the next delivery!

This position provides fast on the job training, with great potential to transitioning into becoming a driver yourself, if you wish to continue or stay on through "Peak Season", we would love to have you!

You will work & ride-a-long with a 'Veteran Driver', deliver a wide variety of packages to businesses and residential homes in the Western Shawnee & Lenexa area, drive a well-maintained FedEx vehicle, and be part of our positive QIC team atmosphere. QIC encourages a healthy work & life balance. A QIC schedule will allow you to be home for dinner.
QIC will energetically seek to create a schedule to work best for you. All of QIC positions are only Day Shifts, 8am to 5pm, with opportunity to work Full-Time or Part-Time. Schedules may range from 1 to 5 days/week depending on your preference.
This is a fast-paced position with positive interactions and results to your day!

Tasks include using a GPS system, delivering packages, following safety & DOT regulations, and maintaining time. We do not micromanage!

A general day in the life of a QIC FedEx Pickup & Delivery Driver consists of beginning the day at the Olathe, KS terminal (22525 W. 167th St. Olathe, KS) between 7:30-8:00 am, assisting in the completion of a pre-trip inspection, as well as ensuring the truck is efficiently loaded. While FedEx loaders load your truck, a jumper/driver's organization & efficiency reduces their time and maximizes a positive daily outcome. Once efficiently loaded & released, the short drive to the delivery area in Western Shawnee & Lenexa will be favorable to complete the delivery of packages. Packages come in all shapes, sizes, and weights. While some packages may be small to medium, FedEx allows larger packages up to a maximum 150lbs. With larger packages, you will have assistance of dollies (and teammates if necessary). This position is an active, physical, and fast-paced position. You will be bending, bending at the knees, lifting, moving quickly, and working in the KS weather. Upon completing your day, you will return your truck to the terminal. QIC managers carefully plan routes to be completed no later than 5:00-5:30pm ; with appreciable potential to be done earlier.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have a Driver's License
• No CDL necessary
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test (no MJ), and DOT physical. No felony. No DUI's. All expenses paid by employer.
• Experience in delivery or driving is fantastic, but QIC also welcomes drivers with no professional driving history. QIC is happy to train for this position. We have great managers with terrific training abilities with a positive Professional Driver outcome!
• Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, good communication, customer service, & decision-making skills. Must have initiative and move fast!

Schedule:   Pay:  Includes:
-Monday to Friday, Saturday Availability, Sundays during Peak Season only; a schedule will be developed.

-$18-19/hour for a 'Jumper' in November & December , but if you desire to transition into a driver in January 2025, your pay will be increased to $20-21/hour.
