Job Description

The recruitment for the Exceptional Needs Care Coordinator position at Marion County Adult Behavioral Health has been reopened for additional applicants and will remain open until filled. This role involves providing services to individuals with serious mental illnesses and complex needs, often including co-occurring substance use disorders. You will collaborate with community partners, work within a multidisciplinary team, and support individuals in achieving optimal health. Ideal candidates should possess strong clinical skills, compassion, and excellent communication abilities. We provide a recruitment bonus of $2,000 for new employees starting between January 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025, included in the first paycheck. For those relocating from outside Oregon, we offer a relocation package of up to $3,000 for moving expenses and a $3,000 relocation bonus upon proof of residency. Additionally, a $3.00 wage enhancement will be added for hours worked between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

GENERAL DUTIES: Provide assessments, treatment, and crisis intervention for individuals and families with complex needs. Work under a supervisor who sets goals and reviews outcomes.

TYPICAL DUTIES: As an Exceptional Needs Care Coordinator, you will:

  • Act as a liaison between ABH and various mental health stakeholders.
  • Collaborate to assess needs and authorize services.
  • Facilitate community transitions for eligible individuals.
  • Provide case-specific consultation and ensure accurate utilization data.
  • Assess and coordinate licensed care placements.
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field or a Bachelor's degree in nursing or occupational therapy with state licensure.
  • One year of postgraduate experience in behavioral health.
  • Must obtain QMHP credentialing within 30 days of employment.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving history.
  • Pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

We offer a retention bonus of $3,000 after six months of continuous employment and tuition assistance of up to $20,000 for professional development.
