Camp K9 Pet Resort & Day Camp is hiring a Dog Trainer!

Are you passionate about training dogs and creating a loving environment for them to thrive? Do you enjoy working in a fun and dynamic team setting?

Join our team at Camp K9 Pet Resort & Day Camp, Madison's premier pet resort, where we offer a clean, safe, and enjoyable place for pets to stay while their humans are away. As a Dog Trainer, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of dogs, from puppies to older dogs needing reminders. You'll craft training plans, interact with pet parents, and provide enrichment activities to ensure the well-being of our furry guests.

Responsibilities:

• Train dogs daily with personalized training plans
• Meet with clients to discuss training expectations and progress
• Document dog behavior and training progress
• Adhere to positive reinforcement based training methods
• Conduct group classes and private lessons
• Create social media content showcasing training successes

Qualifications For This Position:

• Knowledge of Operant and Classical Conditioning
• 1-2 years of animal training experience or equivalent education preferred
• CCPDT Certification or ability to obtain certification within one year
