Credit Trader - NYC Hedge Fund

A strong performing NYC hedge fund is looking to hire a quantitative credit trader to join the team! This role will serve an integral part of a highly collaborative team, helping lead the research and trading of IG/HY strategies.

You will have the opportunity to work on full life cycle of the trading strategies including research, backtesting, modelling, live trading and trading analysis.

Responsibilities will include:

- Analyze credit markets to identify trading opportunities using quantitative research methods
- Develop and refine models for pricing, risk management, and market forecasting
- Execute trades in credit derivatives, and structured products
- Manage and monitor portfolio positions in line with firm-wide risk tolerance and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with portfolio manager, quantitative researchers and risk to align strategies for optimal performance

Ideal candidates should possess:

- 3+ years of experience in HY/IG credit trading markets (HY cash, single name CDS, CDX or credit ETFs preferred)
- Strong programming in Python and quantitative research skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with desk researchers to critically evaluate trading opportunities
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas and work to colleagues

- History of strong risk management and profitable trading track record
