The Contract Monitor resides in the Education Division in the DOC central office. This position exists to provide high quality guidance, support, and direction to various academic and vocational providers offering programming to the I/I (offender) population. You will be expected to utilize knowledge of existing correctional education approaches, funding sources, and resources to assist with implementing and maintaining high quality services to support the department mission of successful re-entry. This includes the revision and development of policy in support of providing offenders with the most appropriate programming available. This position independently directs and coordinates various programming opportunities for incarcerated individuals, which range from out-custody training to maintaining a secure and legally defensible high school equivalency testing program.
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
