Job Description

Position: Cable Technician/Installer

Type: Temp to Hire (6 months) 

Requirements:

• Must pass a background check
• Must pass a drug test
• Preferably over 25 years old (for vehicle insurance purposes)
• Not a lead position; looking for a hard worker with experience pulling cable
• Comfortable with tools and not afraid of heights
• Team player with a strong work ethic

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Willingness to be trained on job-specific systems chosen by leadership
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Reliable with high attention to detail
• Ability and willingness to travel to client sites outside a 2-hour radius
• Ability and willingness to work overtime when needed
• Ability and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment
• Ability and willingness to learn new technology and software
• Remote work available for approved jobs
• Set a positive example for other team members
• Assist and provide guidance when needed
• Share wisdom in a constructive, learning environment
• Arrive on time and stay until the job is complete
• Receive direction from the Team Lead and/or Project Manager
• Review documentation provided by the team lead (floorplans, paperwork, etc.)
• Communicate with onsite contact with approval from the Team Lead
• Perform the requested work
• Communicate any work request changes with your team lead, who will report it to the project manager and/or sales lead
• Assist with ensuring the site is cleaned up and better than when you arrived
• Communicate what you did with the team lead, office, and document in CW
• Prepare for the next day
• Responsible for communicating materials used with the team lead
• Responsible for completing the scope of work and getting the job done with the team
• Complete all other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Moderate physical activity, including handling objects up to 50 pounds and/or standing and/or walking throughout the day
• Occasional outside work required
