With a deep-rooted commitment to sustainable practices and exceptional taste, Prime Roots presents a selection of plant-based deli meats that cater to both discerning palates and environmental consciousness. 

We are looking for a driven, friendly Regional Brand Ambassador. Candidates must be based in New York with proximity to the greater New York, NY area and the ability to commute via MTA, and other local area locations on a daily or multi-day weekly basis.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with local retailers and restaurants. 
• Deliver a high level of experiential excellence to customers and consumers, owning all elements of in-store, customer, and consumer experience execution. (merchandising support, in-store demos, staff training and support, events) 
• Staff local events (supporting coordination as necessary) to drive awareness and engagement around Prime Roots brand and products. This will include food preparation and handling. 
• Utilizing team organizational systems (task management software, customer management software and other electronic tools), to track and report on key retail account progress and needed adjustments through the launch period and beyond. 
• Visit organizations that don't carry our products and pitch them the products.
• Travel locally up to 90% of the time, visiting different accounts, prospective accounts, and event sites. Assist with tradeshows and events locally and also in other regions as needed. 

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a brand ambassador, event staff/coordination, merchandising execution, or similar customer and consumer engagement role in the Food and Beverage domain. 
• Creative, customer-oriented approach to merchandising, in-store demo setup and execution, event coordination and execution, etc.
• Service and hospitality background (working in retail, grocery, foodservice) preferred 
• Must have a valid food handling permit (or get before the first day of work)
• Ability to adapt to the day-to-day challenges of working within a startup. (problem solver) 
• Drive to hit goals and drive results, you view yourself as a resourceful person always giving your best
• Ideal candidate has access or has a vehicle and valid driver's license but also lives near public transit
• Excellent communication skills. 
• Availability to travel as needed. 
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and be ok with being outside and inside in variable climates and temperatures for extended periods of time. 

Benefits

This is a part-time role, under 30 hours per week, on an as needed basis.

This role's compensation is $25/hr.
