Job Description:

As an Associate Investment Banking Analyst at Augmentjobs, you will play a pivotal role in our investment banking team, working on a variety of financial transactions and advisory services. You will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, preparing presentations, and supporting senior bankers in executing transactions. This role offers a dynamic and challenging environment where you will gain valuable experience in investment banking.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analysis:

   • Conduct detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis (CCA), and precedent transactions.

   • Analyze financial statements and other financial data to support transaction execution and advisory services.

2. Transaction Support:

   • Assist in the preparation of pitch books, marketing materials, and transaction documents.

   • Support senior bankers in managing and executing mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and other financial transactions.

3. Market Research:

   • Perform industry and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.

   • Compile and analyze market data to support strategic recommendations and decision-making.

4. Client Interaction:

   • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, including financial analysis, market insights, and strategic recommendations.

   • Coordinate with clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions.

5. Project Management:

   • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

   • Collaborate with team members and senior bankers to ensure successful project outcomes.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Experience: 2 - 4 years of experience in investment banking, financial analysis, or a related field.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and financial statement analysis. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed recommendations.

• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and documentation.

• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively, with strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: CFA Level I or II is a plus.

• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within an investment banking environment or financial services industry.
