In support of Undergraduate Admission (UA) efforts to meet annual new student recruitment and enrollment goals, the Assistant Director, Tour Programs is responsible for co-supervising Campus Tour Program (designed for students in 9th grade level through college level) and Cub Tour Program (designed for students in kindergarten through 8th grade). The Assistant Director is responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing UA campus tour-related activities and logistics and ensuring a high-quality visitor experience. The primary objective of the position is to design comprehensive campus tours that provide an immersive experience of campus life, enabling guests to experience the university's academic, social, and personal opportunities first-hand. By showcasing the academic opportunities, campus facilities, vibrant atmosphere, culture, and community atmosphere, tours should aim to be insightful and help students and their families make informed decisions about applying and ultimately enrolling. Campus tours should be tailored to stimulate and motivate an academically competitive, talented and broadly diverse applicant pool of California resident, domestic non-resident and international students, from elementary through college level. The Assistant Director will also visit a limited number of secondary schools in the Los Angeles area (as needed), providing substantive information about UCLA specifically, and the University of California generally.
