Apparel Designer – NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Generate innovative ideas for design projects, including products, graphics and color under the direction of a Sr. Designer or Director; create original design solutions under the direction of a Sr. Designer; communicate and present design concepts to the team, leader, and director; create presentation materials that effectively communicate design concepts; work with the design leader and category team to ensure feasibility of design, budget, merchandising needs and overall program needs; apply and perform design skills, including drawing/sketching, creating lineart, 3D modeling/digital rendering, typography, ideation, use of texture, spacing and scale, strategic application of color, visual presentation development and layout that is supported by a portfolio of non-computer-based creative art and design; utilize familiarity with current trends, color, and design; use Macintosh computer design applications; utilize effective oral and written communications in local market language, including presentations; work cooperatively with staff to share ideas and develop effective response. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.
Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Apparel Design, Material design, or Textile design and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a designer related occupation.
