Summary

This position will support HII-NNS in San Diego, CA.

What You Will Do

• Perform production planning, scheduling and progressing in support of in-service aircraft carrier availabilities.

• Assembles work packages that include 4E Specs, Reference drawings, technical manuals and other products as required to support the planning and scheduling efforts with little or no supervision.

• Responsible for the overall performance of the advanced and execution planning and production phases including scheduling as required by HII-NNS.

• Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.

• Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.

What You Must Have

• 0 years experience with Bachelors in related field or a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
• Must have experience preparing Program Performance Specifications (PPS).
• Must have experience preparing biweekly reports.
• Experience preparing and conducting documentation quality assurance reviews.
• Must have experience ensuring task deliverables were submitted on time.
• Experience maintaining Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) / Trouble Report (TR) databases.
• Experience using MS Excel to prepare reports and using MS Word and MS Visio.
• Must have the ability to work closely with other ship repair representatives in the ship repair business such as the MSRs, Sub-Contractors and Government representatives.
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs to perform work site assessments on board a naval aircraft carrier.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain base access and CVN access.
• Must have strong comminution skills, both verbal and written.

Physical Requirements

Job performance generally in an office environment. Due to the amount of computer interface associated with this position, good sight and the use of both hands for computer input is essential.
